  • RentMen: If we sat on the beach and drank wine and ate great food just you and I, what would you tell me about yourself and your life?
MvsterSIRdaddyXL: If we were sitting together on a quiet beach, sharing wine and great food, I would begin by telling you about the simple joys that shape my life. I would share the moments that make me feel alive—watching the sunrise, listening to the ocean, the sense of calm that comes from being close to nature. I’d talk about my passions, the things that drive me to create, explore, and learn every day.

I would tell you about the people who have shaped me, the lessons I’ve learned through love and challenge, and the dreams I still carry for the future. There would be laughter as I recalled little stories from my past, gratitude as I reflected on how far I’ve come, and maybe a touch of wonder at the journey still ahead.

With the waves as our soundtrack and the stars waiting to appear, it would feel like the perfect place to share not just my life, but my heart.

  • RentMen: Tell us about the best experience you have had in life.
Lucky_boyy: Sydney. 2006. Mardi Gras. My first time traveling alone.
I was twenty-something, freshly out of law school, and I had exactly enough money for the flight and the hostel and the stubborn conviction that I needed to go somewhere that had nothing to do with who I was supposed to become. I chose Sydney because it was as far from New York as I could get without falling off the planet.
I didn't know anyone. I didn't have a plan. I had a backpack and the specific freedom that comes from being completely unknown in a city of strangers.
And then I ended up on a stage at Sydney Mardi Gras, dancing with Kylie Minogue.
I'm not going to oversell it — it was a moment in a sea of moments that night, and she was performing for fifty thousand people, not for me specifically. But I was on that stage. I was in that moment. And something shifted.
That trip taught me that the most alive I ever feel is when I'm somewhere new, with no role to play, no reputation to protect, and no one who knows my name.
I've been chasing that feeling ever since. Turns out it's a very good way to live.
