A: I just sort of go with the winds and the tides. Some weeks are easy others are hard. It's stupid to fight a current so just make sure you're level headed when things are going well, and hopeful and appreciative when they aren't.
A: I like to see people, like truly see people. The physical and emotional tension they carry and try to do my part to bring them some relief, and if possible joy.
A: My jeep, my passport, my typewriter, a good glass of wine, and the beach
A: I fell in love with a few different pieces of media as a kid that have really shaped who I am.
Mary poppins ("I'll stay until the wind changes).
Titanic - Jack Dawson ("To making every moment count").
Wicked -Elphaba ("And if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free").
Moulin Rouge ("Love is a many splendid thing")
I think my personality when you meet me reflects all of those sentiments and it's something I take pride in.
A: Genuinely just a joyful and laid-back dude
A: I'm at home to sleep and that's about it.
A: That I've lived more in 31 years than most people ever dream of. I've done the jeep and the dog road trip across country not once but three times, Pacific coast highway both ways. Lived in New Zealand for 5 years. Was a paramedic, a sex ed teacher, a pizza chef and more. Backpacked through Europe for three months in flip flops twice, sued a company by myself and won. I just think life is too short to spend it doing anything other than what brings you joy. And what brings me joy is writing, so I try to collect experience that make my work more genuine.
A: I'm a writer full-time, but I don't really see it as work. I'm learning how to surf, I do odd jobs here and there. I enjoy painting, even I'm not good at it, but hey, who said you had to be good at your hobbies. You just have to enjoy doing them. Oh and I walk, a lot. Hiking, beaches, camping, my ideal leisurely walk is 2-3 hours.
A: Probably that I'm equally as satisfied in a five star hotel as I am a truck motel. I truly think variety is the spice of life. Whether it's a cocktail lounge or a dive bar, a resort or a campground, I just tend to appreciate life as it comes at me.
A: I'm a golden retriever stuck in a surfer's body, and if I say anything is walkable, don't trust me.
A: I have a bit of radical sense of care for my own well-being and joy. If I don't like something, like a job or a city. I trust my instincts and move on. It's meant that I've lived on three continents, crisscrossed the country multiple times, and left numerous lovers speckled around the globe. I think the world tries to tell us there are only a few responsible ways to live, when I think the only truly responsible way to live is by honoring your biology, personality, instincts and spirit with the choices you make.
A: Spending five years in New Zealand and backpacking for 6 months in Europe
A: Writing. Hiking. Museums. Work out. Read
A: Protein powder and running
A: I've been to three continents this year
A: That I'm really easy going and can adapt to any situation
