A: Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent. Just kidding - my top three traits are (trauma-informed) empathy, altruism, and authenticity.
A: I have two memories that come to mind. One was a trip to the Galapagos with my ex of seven years who is now a close friend. We were snorkeling in a cove, and there was a group of sea lion pups that were playing with a large white feather and passing it back and forth. I swam so I was just a few feet away (you sadly are not allowed to touch them) and one of the pups tried to pass me the feather to join in with them. I almost spontaneously combusted from the cuteness.
The other experience comes from a volunteer initiative I launched during the pandemic to offer pro-bono career prep services to people underrepresented in the corporate world. One of my mentees was an immigrant who had her sponsored job offer revoked the month she was graduating and only had a little over 30 days to find a new job before her visa expired. She had sent out hundreds of applications with no interviews and was panicking because her family was going to force her into an arranged marriage with an abusive partner if she had to go back to her home country. After a few weeks working together, she got two job offers and is now a permanent resident.
A: I sacrificed a lucrative corporate career that would've eventually landed me in the 1% because I realized during the pandemic that I was on the wrong side of history. I am in the process of starting a new career focused on protecting women, children, and queer people from domestic violence (and subsequently homelessness & SUD). Sadly, it pays a lot less, and I have lost a lot of time and money to chronic illness, so that's why I decided to start doing this part-time.
A: My favorite bible verse is Ezekiel 23:20:
"There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."
One day, I plan on getting "Ezekiel 23:20" as a tattoo on my right ass cheek because everyone needs at least one gag tattoo. I don't really bottom anymore, but the quote is in past tense, so it's a salute to a previous version of myself. Whenever people use the Bible, especially the Old Testament, as an argument for how current day laws or society should work, I think of the scene in Harry Potter where Hermione watches wizard chess and goes, "That's so barbaric!", but there are a few words of wisdom in there.
A: Mentally ill men looking for something deeper than just sex.
"When I showed myself around this hell
I swear to God it felt like home
So I found lost souls like me to let them know I'm not alone
To be honest I don't even know who I am or where I'm going
So I'm done I'm done
I'm disconnected
This mind of mind leaves the wrong impression
Misfits and freaks gather round friends
Come here with me and pretend
Just for tonight we'll take off our disguise
And remember this day for the rest of our lives.
A: About once a month or every other month. Once I get back from Thailand, I plan on staying in Sydney until my spring holiday in early April, unless someone in Oz or NZ makes an offer for a weekend together that I cannot refuse. I am a homebody, but I do love to travel, especially explore the outdoors and get to know new cultures. I lost my passport / got it stolen in Melbourne in December, so I am currently stuck with an emergency passport until October of this year.
A: An inch - it is small and it is fragile, and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us.
I hope that, whoever you are, you escape this place. I hope that the world turns and that things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that even though I do not really know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you again, I love you. With all my heart, I love you.
A: I live with various serious mental disorders that have been quite debilitating the past few years. Sometimes I feel disconnected from the world and struggle with poor self esteem. I know I look the way that I do, but I understand what it is like to feel rejection, betrayal, self-doubt, dysmorphia, etc. starting at a very young age but also into adulthood. I like clients where we can make each other feel special and valued through deeper emotional connection.
My two greatest turn-offs are people that do not understand consent and people that just want to get with me for my dick and appearance without any interest in getting to know me as a person. This is why I generally do not have penetrative sex with first time clients as I've tried in the past, and it was unsustainable for my mental health and went against my personal philosophy regarding sex.
A: I am constantly reinventing myself to become a better person that brings more meaningful changes to this world. I am always willing to hold myself accountable and offer meaningful apologies with corrective action when I have hurt someone I care about.
A: Therapy. Basic Human Rights. Stimulating Conversation. Dark or sometimes goofy humor. Compasson towards others.
